Copyright & Content Reports

How to tell us about content in huSpace that infringes your rights or breaks the law, and what we do with your report.

Most of what happens in huSpace is private to the person who uses it. Content can reach other people through shared links, through emails and invitations hu sends for someone, and through Studio media that someone publishes.

1. Reporting copyright infringement

Send your notice to [email protected]. Our designated agent for copyright notices under US law is Alperen LTD, Ayiou Ayapitikou 31, Paphos 8041, Cyprus, [email protected].

Your notice needs:

  1. your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
  2. the work you believe is infringed, or a list if there are several;
  3. where the content is in huSpace, such as the address of a shared link, in enough detail for us to find it;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t allowed by the owner, the owner’s agent or the law;
  5. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the rights are yours or that their owner has authorised you to act, and that your notice is correct;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

We may send a copy of your notice, including your name and contact details, to the person whose content you reported.

2. If your content was removed

If we removed your content after a copyright notice, and you believe that was a mistake or that you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice to [email protected]. It needs:

  1. your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
  2. the content we removed, and where it was before;
  3. a statement, under penalty of perjury, of your good-faith belief that the content was removed by mistake or because it was misidentified;
  4. your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live, or, if you live outside the United States, of any court where we can be sued, and your agreement to accept service of legal papers from the person who sent the notice;
  5. your physical or electronic signature.

We send your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. If they don’t tell us within 10 to 14 business days that they’ve started a court case, we may restore the content.

3. Repeat infringers

Where it’s appropriate, we close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe other people’s rights.

4. Reporting other illegal content

Anyone can tell us about content in huSpace that they believe is illegal, for example on a shared link. Write to [email protected] and include:

  • why you believe the content is illegal;
  • exactly where it is, such as the address of the shared link;
  • your name and email address (you can leave them out if your report is about child sexual abuse material);
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.

We’ll confirm that we got your report. We’ll look at it promptly, carefully and fairly, and tell you what we decided and how you can challenge the decision. If we use automated tools to handle a report, we’ll say so.

5. Our decisions and your options

  • If we remove or restrict content, or restrict an account, we tell the person affected what we did, why, which rule or law it was based on, and how to appeal, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.
  • To appeal, write to [email protected] within 6 months of the decision. A person reviews every appeal, and we tell you the result and the reasons.
  • In the EU, you may also be able to take a dispute to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, or go to court.

6. Misuse of reports

If someone often sends reports that are clearly unfounded, we may stop handling their reports for a while, after warning them.

7. Points of contact

  • For users, and for authorities in the EU under the Digital Services Act: [email protected]. You can write to us in English or Greek.
  • huSpace is run by Alperen LTD, a company based in Cyprus, in the EU. Full details are on our Legal page.

8. Requests from authorities

  • We share data about our users with an authority only when it sends us a valid legal request, or in an emergency where someone’s life or safety is at serious risk.
  • We check every request, and we push back on requests that are too broad or lack a proper legal basis.
  • We tell the user about a request, unless the law forbids it or it would put someone in danger.
  • Authorities can reach us at [email protected].

9. Trademarks, privacy and other rights

To report content that misuses a trademark, invades someone’s privacy or breaks other rights, write to [email protected] with the same details as in section 4. For your own personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
