Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of our Terms of Use. It applies to everyone who uses huSpace: in chat, calls, tasks, connected services, shared links and Studio.
hu is built to help. When a request comes close to a line, hu looks for a safe and legal way to help with what you need. The rules below are the few lines nobody may cross.
1. Breaking the law or hurting people
Don’t use huSpace to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- plan or carry out violence, or threaten or intimidate anyone;
- make or get weapons that can kill many people (chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear), or explosives;
- support terrorism or violent extremism;
- attack people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or similar traits;
- encourage suicide, self-harm or eating disorders, or give instructions for them;
- traffic or exploit people, or trade in illegal goods.
If you’re struggling yourself, please reach out to people who can help. hu doesn’t replace them. If your life or someone else’s is in danger, call your local emergency services. See our Terms of Use.
2. Protecting children
- Never use huSpace to create, share or look for sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises them. This includes drawn, generated and fictional material.
- Don’t use huSpace to groom, contact or exploit a child.
- We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities as the law requires, and we close the accounts involved.
3. Sexual content
- Don’t use huSpace to create sexually explicit content. This applies everywhere in huSpace: in chat, calls, tasks and Studio.
- You can still talk with hu about sex, relationships and sexual health. What isn’t allowed is explicit sexual material.
- Never create or share intimate images of a real person without their consent, whether real or generated.
4. Privacy and surveillance
- Don’t collect, combine or publish personal information about people without a lawful reason. That includes their home address, documents, health or finances.
- Don’t track, watch or stalk anyone, and don’t use hu to identify people from their photos or voices.
- Don’t build face recognition databases, or sort people by sensitive traits based on their face, voice or body.
- Don’t connect or use accounts that you aren’t allowed to use.
5. Fraud, deception and impersonation
- No scams, phishing, fake documents or other fraud.
- Don’t pretend to be someone else. Don’t make people think they’re dealing with a human when they’re dealing with hu, where that could mislead them.
- No fake reviews, spam, or coordinated campaigns that hide who is behind them.
- No false information meant to disrupt elections, or to mislead people about how, when or where to vote.
- Don’t use hu to write or send bulk messages that people didn’t ask for.
6. Real people's faces and voices
- Don’t make realistic images, video or audio of a real person without their consent, or in a way that could make people believe it’s real.
- Don’t copy someone’s voice without their permission.
- Satire and commentary about public figures are fine if nobody could take them for real. Fakes meant to mislead aren’t.
The AI & Studio Content Policy has more on this.
7. Security and malware
- Don’t create or spread malware, and don’t use hu to break into systems or accounts.
- Don’t attack, overload or probe huSpace or anyone else’s systems. If you find a security problem in huSpace, please report it (Legal page).
- Don’t use hu to disrupt or damage critical services, such as power, water, transport, hospitals or banks.
8. Decisions about other people
- Don’t use hu as the only basis for decisions that seriously affect other people, such as hiring, firing, credit, insurance, housing, education, healthcare, legal status or access to public services. A qualified person must review such decisions, and the people affected should be told that AI was involved.
- Don’t give other people legal, medical, financial or other professional advice from hu as if it came from a qualified professional. If you offer such advice to others, a qualified person must check it first.
- Don’t use hu to score people on their social behaviour, or to predict from their traits whether they’ll commit a crime.
9. Using huSpace fairly
- Don’t reach huSpace through bots, scripts or scrapers, or in any way other than the apps and pages we provide.
- Don’t share, sell, rent or resell access to your account or to hu.
- Don’t open extra accounts to get around limits, a suspension or a ban.
- Don’t try to get around our limits, safety measures or content rules, for example with prompts designed to trick hu.
- Don’t copy, decompile or reverse engineer huSpace, and don’t try to extract its internal instructions or find out how it’s built.
- Don’t use outputs to build or train an AI product that competes with huSpace or with the providers behind it.
- Don’t misuse our reporting or appeal channels, for example by sending false reports.
10. Acting in connected accounts
- Connect only accounts you own or are allowed to use.
- Read what hu is about to send or change before you confirm it.
- Follow the rules of each service you connect. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms. We don’t check or control them.
- You’re responsible for the emails, invitations and other actions hu carries out for you.
12. What we do when rules are broken
Our providers check some requests and results, and they may refuse a request or hold back a result. We may also check Studio requests and results with automated tools. To enforce this policy, we may review other content too, with automated tools or a person.
When we find a breach, we act in proportion to how serious it is. We may:
- block a request or hold back a result;
- remove content or turn off a shared link;
- warn you;
- limit features or lower your limits;
- suspend or close your account.
We usually warn you first. In serious cases, such as harm to children, a threat to someone’s safety, or fraud, we may act at once. We report to the authorities where the law requires it, or where someone’s life or safety is at risk.
When we restrict your account or your content, we tell you what we did and why, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it.
If we close your account because you broke this policy, we don’t refund what you paid, and any unused balance or Studio credits are lost. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
13. Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected] within 6 months of our decision. Tell us what happened and why you disagree. A person will review it, and we’ll tell you the result and the reasons. If you live in the EU, you may also be able to use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body, or go to court.
14. Reporting misuse
To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy, write to [email protected]. For copyright and illegal content, see Copyright & Content Reports. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services first.
