AI & Studio Content Policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Use. It covers what hu writes for you and what you make in Studio: images, video, music, narration and 3D models.

1. hu is an AI

  • Everything hu says, writes or makes is generated by AI. hu is not a person, and the voice you hear in calls is made by a computer.
  • AI can be wrong, and it can make things up. Check outputs before you rely on them (see what to keep in mind about AI in our Terms of Use).

2. Who owns what

  • You keep your rights in what you give hu, including prompts and reference files.
  • Outputs are yours. If we have any rights in them, we transfer them to you (see Outputs in our Terms of Use).
  • Copyright may not protect everything AI makes. Other people may get similar results from similar prompts, and you get no rights in theirs.
  • An output can look or sound like existing work. Before you publish it or use it in business, make sure it doesn’t infringe someone else’s rights, for example in a work, a character, a logo or a piece of music.

3. Using what you make

  • You may use outputs and Studio media for personal and commercial purposes, as long as you follow this policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and the law.
  • The AI models behind Studio come from other companies, and some of them set their own conditions. If such a condition limits how a result may be used, it applies to that result too.

4. Real people, faces and voices

  • You can make content with your own face and voice.
  • To use another person’s face, body or voice, you need their consent. For a child, you need the consent of a parent or guardian, and the content must never be sexual, violent or humiliating.
  • Don’t make content that could make people believe a real person said or did something they didn’t, unless it’s clearly satire or commentary that nobody could take for real.
  • Don’t make realistic content about public figures or elections that is meant to mislead.
  • Don’t use a copied voice to call or message people as someone else.

5. Content you can't make

In Studio and in chat, don’t make:

  • anything sexual involving minors, or anything that sexualises them;
  • sexually explicit content of any kind;
  • intimate images of real people without their consent;
  • graphic violence or gore made to shock, or content that celebrates real attacks;
  • hateful content that targets people for who they are;
  • content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other people’s rights;
  • anything else that our Acceptable Use Policy forbids.

6. Labels and AI marks

  • Everything Studio makes is made by AI.
  • Some model makers build invisible marks or metadata into their results to show that AI made them. We leave those marks in place. Don’t remove or hide them in order to mislead people.
  • When you publish realistic images, video or audio made with AI, especially of real people, places or events, say that they’re AI-generated. In the EU, the law requires this for deepfakes.

7. Publishing and sharing

  • You’re responsible for what you publish or share, including through shared links.
  • Check outputs before you publish them. Don’t present AI-made content as human work where that would mislead people.
  • If you publish text written with hu’s help, you’re its author, and you’re responsible for it.

8. Studio prices and charges

  • Before a job starts, Studio shows its price or an estimate in Studio credits.
  • Studio starts a job only when you have enough credits for it and for your jobs that are already running. You’re charged only for finished results.
  • If a job fails, on our side or the provider’s, nothing is charged.
  • If you cancel a job before it reaches the provider, nothing is charged. After that, it can be stopped only if the provider allows it; otherwise it finishes and is charged.
  • If a job asks for several results and the provider takes on only some of them, you pay only for those.
  • If a provider’s safety check holds back a result, you’re still charged for it, because the provider charges us for it. Its credits aren’t returned.
  • More in our Terms of Use: Studio and Studio credits and packs.

9. Checks and reports

  • Our providers check some requests and results. They may refuse a request or hold back a result.
  • We may also check Studio requests and results with automated tools, and hold back a result that breaks this policy.
  • To report content made with huSpace that breaks this policy, or that uses your face or voice without your consent, write to [email protected]. For copyright, see Copyright & Content Reports.
